As much as I love weddings, I love it even more when I get a chance to do something a little different. Naroth & Melvin are also having another wedding this weekend in their home town of San Francisco, but decided to keep with tradition and have a Cambodian wedding too. When I say traditional Cambodian wedding, I mean 7 outfit changes, long hours and 2 days of ceremony! And you would think traditional ceremony means boring, but they really kept it fun the whole day! I really wanted to share all of the photos from their ceremony because it was so beautiful, but I had to leave some out because this blog post would be really long. So I did my best to summarize it up. Here are some of my favorites from their ceremony.
No she was just holding someones drink.

Some details of the 1st outfit.

Doesn't she look radiant?

The guys holding the umbrellas for Melvin, yes it's part of the tradition!

More details.

It's official!

The strings later used to tie on their wrists.

Grooming of the couple.

And this is the rice that will be thrown at them later.

Another part of the tradition is to hold the umbrellas for your parents. Naroth's mom was really emotional as you can see.

The spread.

Tying of the strings.

I was at ground zero for the throwing of the rice and flower petals. I was covered after!

They walked around the room in a circle showing the end of the ceremony.

And the feasting begins! They shared fruit with each other and laughs.

We found some really cool graffiti walls.

Live music is always a good thing!

First dance.
